FORK UP Installation is a 3 Step Process
Remove Front Wheel – Install Fork Up- Attach to Bike Rack

FRONT WHEEL REMOVAL

  1. Using an Allen wrench, remove your front wheel by loosening all axle clamp bolts. Note: Different brands have different methods of wheel removal, follow your fork manufacturers directions.
  2. Pull out your axle.

Figure A

FORK UP INSTALLATION

  1. Start by installing the FORK UP while your bike is still on the ground. Slide the FORK UP between your fork drop outs, then slide your axle back through your fork drop outs, and through the FORK UP.
  2. Tighten all axle clamps bolts as you would if you were installing your front wheel. See Figure A.

Note: The optimum position for the FORK UP is to have the FORK UP legs run parallel with the fork legs, unless you are running several bikes on your rack, and you have conflicting handlebar heights, then the FORK UP can be rotated up to 180°.

ATTACH TO FORK MOUNTED BIKE RACK

  1. Check all connections making sure all bolts are tight and the FORK UP is securely attached to your fork, then securely attach the FORK UP onto your Fork mounted rack. As always, follow the manufacturer’s directions on securely tightening down the quick release before driving.

Note: Be sure FORK UP and bike are mounted securely to your bike rack before driving.

REMOVING THE FORK UP

  1. Remove the bike from your fork mounted rack with the FORK UP still attached to your fork.
  2. Set the bike on the ground, and with an Allen wrench, loosen the axle clamp bolts.
  3. Slide out the axle from the FORK UP. Remove the FORK UP.
  4. Insert your front wheel; securely tighten all axle bolts before riding.
  5. Put the FORK UP into your trunk, inside your car, or in your bike bag for future use. For theft reasons, it is not recommended to leave it attached to your rack when not in use.

NOTE: Before riding, be sure to double check your fork bolts, making sure all bolts are tight and secure and that your front brake works properly.

MAINTENANCE

As with all your bicycle rack components, periodically check the Fork Up for any excessive wear, including rust or cracks. Also, it’s a good idea to make sure the rack that you will be installing it on is in good working order.
